Stop eminent domain for private gain.

Block Grain Belt Express

Be sure to attend these informative meetings.

Grain Belt Express has once again filed another application to the Public Service Commission for the Certificate of Convenience and Necessity, a step needed in order to build their transmission line through the state of Missouri which would give it the power to condemn up to 5,000 acres of private land it needs for the line.

The Rematch is On

We believe that with one more organized group effort, we can kill this senseless and dangerous precedent setting private transmission line to the east. After all, our efforts were vital in the denial of the first application just 14 months ago. Another denial would make it highly unlikely that Clean Line will receive any additional capital from investors.

Preparing for the Fight

We have scheduled another round of meetings to provide you with all the latest news and information you will need. We are hoping to finish all of the meetings before harvesting begins.

We will have sample letters to the PSC, written notices to Grain Belt to stay off of your property and more. We also will have yard signs, 4’X8’ banners along with 4 different custom embroidered BLOCK Grain Belt Express caps that all look great and you will be proud to wear.

A Win-Win Situation

We will also be selling tickets to two separate 50/50 raffles to help raise money for the legal expenses needed in the upcoming proceedings at the PSC. One raffle ticket will sell for $1 each and we will sell as many of those as we can. The other raffle tickets will sell for $50 each and we will limit those ticket sales to 200. The winner of each will receive half of the proceeds of that raffle. If we sell all 200 of the $50 tickets, the total proceeds of that raffle will be $10,000, so the winner will receive $5,000 while the odds of winning that raffle are very, very high. Only cash will be accepted for the purchase of tickets. The drawing will take place at the last meeting which will be held in Clinton County at Lathrop. The winner will not need to be present to win.

We need to sell out of the $50 tickets and sell very many $1 tickets so please tell all of your friends and family. If we sell out of the $50 tickets well before the last of the meetings, we will start a second $50 per ticket 50/50 raffle. We will only sell tickets at these meetings so you will want to be sure to make it to attend at least one of the meetings and buy plenty of tickets to improve your chances of winning while also raising funds for the legal proceedings in opposition to GBE.
