Jury convicts Cameron man of murder in shooting death of his wife
A former Cameron resident who shot and killed his wife has been found guilty by a Clay County jury.
Adam Jeffery Baker, 28, was accused of killing his wife, Holly Baker, in their home in Cameron, Missouri on February 25, 2015. After four days of trial, including seven hours of deliberation, the jury found Mr. Baker guilty of second degree murder and armed criminal action. Mr. Baker, who had shot his wife twice, claimed he acted in self-defense, a claim the jury rejected. Holly Baker was unarmed at the time.
The case was tried on behalf of the State of Missouri by Clinton County Prosecuting Attorney Joe Gagnon and assistant Clinton County Prosecuting Attorney Brandi Kellam.
