MISS MISSOURI~ Friday, November 6, Polo elementary students greeted Miss Missouri 2015 winner, McKensie Garber, with homemade banners and a hearty down-home welcome. During a school assembly, Miss Garber spoke on building character, using visuals to show how respect is the foundation for character traits such as courage, responsibility, and honesty, which leads to success. Miss Garber emphasized how she wouldn’t have accomplished her dreams without character. The students were allowed a time of questions and answers, followed by individual photos with the crowned Miss Missouri.

McKensie Garber is a 2012 high school graduate of Hale, Missouri. She then studied journalism at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduating from college in just three years. Miss Garber has two older brothers, and both of her parents are educators. She will hold the Miss Missouri state title for the next year and plans to travel—mainly in Missouri—throughout the year and speak in churches and schools on Character Plus-Inspiring Lives of Integrity through Education.
