Sandy Trosper awarded the Dr. Wally Carpenter Award for Outstanding Volunteerism

On Nov. 10, 2015 the Northwest Professionals on Aging group held an award luncheon in honor of Dr. Wally Carpenter a physician who dedicated his career to helping individuals all across Northwest Missouri and around the world. Sandy Trosper of Hamilton was nominated and accepted the award for outstanding professional in volunteerism.

Sandy has been a leader in volunteerism in Northwest Missouri for over 30 years and has been among the most visible proponents of care and services to low-income individuals in need. She has connected various agencies and individuals together to improve the mission many in volunteerism serve.

Sandy provides outreach and education to 15 counties of Northwest Missouri as an Outreach Coordinator for Northwest Health. Sandy has offices at the Hamilton Medical Clinic and Pharmacy and at Family Medicine Associates Clinic in St. Joseph.

Northwest Health Services is an organization of Federally Qualified Community Health Centers (FQHCs) with locations spread over 15 counties. Northwest Health Services health centers are local, non-profit, community-owned health care providers serving low income and medically underserved communities. Northwest Health Services is located in areas where care is needed but scarce, and improves access to care for Americans regardless of their insurance status.
