This past Friday night, the Hornet football team put a sting on the Plattsburg Tigers with the score of 42-7.
They dominated the second quarter, not with one particular player, but it was a truly team effort.
It was good to see T.C. East in action after being out for a few weeks with an ankle injury. Caden Brown was the first Hornet to get the team on the board in the first quarter, with a 41-yard pass from Jaran Richman. There was a two point conversion that was no good. At the end of the first quarter, the score was 6-0, Hornets favor.
The start of the second quarter is where the Hornet's offense opened up and took control, scoring 4 touchdowns. One was a punt return by Garrett Trosper with the 2 point conversion by Brock Swindler. At the end of the half, Hamilton was leading 35-0.
The third quarter was more of the same but the Hornets showed some compassion and let the Tigers score a touchdown, their only score of the evening. Swindler scored once more for the Hornets along with making the extra point for them. The score at the end of the third was 42-7.
During the fourth quarter, neither team scored. Final score 42-7.
