MSHSAA Class 1-District 4 Wrestling

The Polo Panthers had 7 wrestlers and the Hamilton Hornets 9 who participated in the Class 1-District 4 Wrestling Tournament in Brookfield this past weekend with 1 Panther and 4 Hornets moving on to State competition this weekend in Columbia. Polo will send Gunner Martin (Jr.) who placed 2nd in the 220 class. Hamilton's Radley Reed (Fr.) fought through a back injury to win by major decision in the 120 class consolation semis to place 4th after forfeiting in the 3rd place match as a result of the injury. Jacob Roberts (Jr.) placed 2nd in weight class 120 for the Hornets, and Derek Aikin (Fr.) placed 4th in the 132 class. In the 285 class, Garrett Trosper (Soph.) lost a questionable 3-2 decision in the semi-finals, but came back in the consolation semis to win by fall in extra time, and finished 4th.
