Panthers defeat Wolverines

Jonathan Pickrell's Polo Panthers traveled to Maysville for a GRC contest against the Wolverines on Feb. 18. Polo would lead 13-10 after the first 8 minutes, and 23-20 at the half. Maysville took a 30-29 lead into the 4th quarter, but the Panthers tied it at 38 in regulation. Polo was able to score 10 points in the 4-minute overtime to the Wolverines 8 for a 48-46 victory.
The Panthers Parker Smith led all scorers with 26 (two 3-pointers), followed by Jason Vaughan's 6 (including one 3-pointer), and Gage Aubrey's 2. Austin Podbevsek and Aidan Delong led Maysville with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Polo made 5 of 7 freethrows and the Wolverines hit 5 of 11.
