The Caldwell County News

L & L Publications, Inc. is the publisher of The Caldwell County News. The corporation has been in business since 1985, acquiring a newspaper that has been published for more than 140 years. Marshall and Anne Tezon were the co-publishers. Marshall had a background in printing, graphic arts and the travel industry, while Anne is a Mizzou journalism grad with a master’s degree from the University of Memphis. The Tezon's purchased the Braymer Bee which became part of The Caldwell County News company in the 90's.

October 1, 2013, H & H Publishing LLC, Steve and Stephanie Henry, purchased L & L Publications from Anne and Marshall Tezon.

This was and is still a new experience for both Steve and Stephanie.  For neither one of them, journalism was not their area of expertise, but not afraid to take on a challenge. They jumped in with both feet.  Steve has left the everyday running of the paper to Stephanie. They are both very happy and grateful for the staff they have.  They, meaning the staff, have had the patience to teach Stephanie the ropes as she has had to learned from the bottom up.

Steve and Stephanie listened to the communities and changed the content of the paper, featuring more of the communities, schools and businesses.

They have made mistakes, some big, some small, all learning experiences.  The paper has been around for 148 years and as the new merges with the old, they plan to be here to help and serve you along the way.

The company headquarters is in Hamilton, Missouri, birthplace and hometown of J. C. Penney and Missouri Star Quilt Company.
