GH Telephone Corp. Donates Fiber Optic Equipment to State Technical College
Green Hills Telephone Corporation (GHTC) of Breckenridge, MO recently donated fiber optic equipment to the State Technical College of Missouri for their Networking Systems Technology program. The program offers students the opportunity to learn advanced communications technologies, including local and wide-area networking (LAN/WAN), voice communications, and Ethernet delivery.
“This equipment will provide our students the ability to access the latest fiber optic technology. It will give each student ‘hands-on’ experience and offer them the opportunity to see how these technologies are deployed across the world,” says Dan Ramsay, the Lead Instructor for the Telecommunications program.
Graduates from this program will be able to provide customers with the latest services including telecommunication network switching, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), wireless communications, and fiber optics.
“Green Hills is proud to support the State Technical College’s Networking Systems program,” says Green Hills Plant Manager, Gene Dinwiddie. “Naturally, its telecommunications curriculum is near and dear to our hearts, and we are glad this equipment will help students learn the latest enhancements in fiber optic and broadband technology.”
