Donald Hicks

Donald Hicks, age 69, a resident of Braymer, MO, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at his residence.

Donald was born the son of Linus Hicks and Elizabeth Sue Banks on Dec. 21, 1949, in Kansas City. He attended Braymer High School. 

Donald worked as a roofer for many years. He also worked at the Indian Hills Nursing Home, the Braymer Nursing Home, and Susan’s Nursing Home. Donald was a member of the First Baptist Church in Braymer.

Survivors include his significant other, Martha Longs, of the home; three sons, Lucas Hicks and Celinda Hernandez, Carter Hicks (Cindy), and Mathew Hicks (Jean), all of Savannah, TN; one daughter, Melissa Lowery (Donald) of Savannah, TN; two brothers, Bobbie Hicks of Breckenridge and Tommy Hicks of San Francisco, CA; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by one son, Kenny Hicks; one grandson; and his parents.

A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Breckenridge, on Monday, Apr. 22, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rosehill Cemetery in Breckenridge on Monday, April 24, at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donald Hicks Memorial Fund, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
