Allan Lee Helseth
Allan Lee Helseth, age 79, of Hamilton, MO, passed away at his home on July 26, 2021. He lived in Hamilton for the past 49 years, moving here from Kansas City. Allan was born on Sept. 6, 1941, in Minot, ND, to Melven and Opal (Getchell) Helseth. He graduated from the Minot High School in 1960. He then attended A & P School in Tulsa, OK. He worked as a jet engine mechanic for TWA in Kansas City. Allan also honorably served his country in the Army for three years, serving from 1960-1963.
Allan was a very active member and elder of the Open Bible Church in Hamilton. He and his wife were involved in the bread and clothing ministry of the church. He was also a farmer.
Preceding Allan in death were his parents; an infant brother, Marlen; brother, Ray; and brother-in-law, Vernon Johnson.
On Aug. 22, 1965, he married Phyllis Kirby in Princeton, IN. Phyllis survives of the home.
Additional survivors include his children, Keith (Melissa) Helseth of Kirksville; Sherilyn (Mike) Bills of Kidder; three grandchildren, Taylor Bills and Victoria and Jessica Helseth; two great-grandsons, Sawyer Bills and Russell Osborn; sister, Ardith Johnson of Plaza, ND; brother, Marvin (Marilyn) Helseth of Windsor; and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Friends may call on Thursday, July 29, from noon until 5:00 p.m., and Friday morning. Interment will be held at the Kidder Cemetery in Kidder. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
