Barry Carter Kitterer

Barry Carter Kitterer, age 88, of Hamilton, MO, passed away on Jan. 15, 2022, at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. He moved to Hamilton in 2006.  

Barry was born on May 7, 1933, to Otto P. and Jessica G. Kitterer. He was a self-employed carpenter, and also worked as a mechanic at the Hamilton Bowling Alley for 15 years.

He served his country in the National Guard. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, bowling and shooting pool.  

Barry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.

Survivors include his wife, Joe Ann Kitterer; children, Barry E. Kitterer of Warsaw, Phillip H. Kitterer of Winsto, and Martha J. McDowell of McLouth, KS; five grandchildren, Phillip J. and Michael B. Kitterer, Gina M. Sundmacher, Marcy J. Sorrell, and Ashley J. Reiff; and nine great-grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. The family will have a memorial service this summer.
