Betty (Vanderpool) Reneau

Betty (Vanderpool) Reneau, age 80, of Clearwater, KS, went to be with the Lord after a long valiant battle with cancer on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016. She was a retired Lead from Boeing in Wichita. She was the second oldest of eight children, born and raised in Kidder.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene Kennedy, and then by her second husband, Tom Reneau; parents, Dorothy and Roy Vanderpool; brothers, Melvin, Jesse and Marvin Vanderpool; and son, Larry Kennedy.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Rod) Hobert of Clearwater, KS; son, Gary (Alana) Kennedy of Wichita, KS; daughters, Debbie (Lloyd) Miller of Haysville, KS and Cathy (Jeff) Hager of Cheney, KS; brothers, John Vanderpool of Anderson, SC and Charles (Wanda) Vanderpool of Humansville; sisters, Evelyn (Von) Hager of Holt and Elsie Meade of Cameron; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home in Cameron. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Kidder Cemetery in Kidder. Memorial donations may be made to Clearwater Nursing and Rehab, 620 Wood Ave, Clearwater, KS 67026.
