Charles “Chuck” Leroy Orr

Charles “Chuck” Leroy Orr, age 70, of Hamilton, MO, passed away at his home on May 8, 2021. Being raised in a military family, Charles had resided in Hamilton and the states of California, North Carolina, Illinois, and Kansas.

Charles was born on Sept. 5, 1950, in Hamilton, to Col. Leonard Leroy and Donna Lea (Jewell) Orr. He attended many grade schools, and attended Jr. High School in Hamilton. He graduated high school from Western Anaheim, CA. He played football at the Fullerton, CA Junior College, before entering the Marines in 1968. He was released from active duty in 1970, and moved home to Hamilton. He served his country in the Reserves until 1977.

Charles was employed at Allis-Chalmers in Kansas City, and farmed with his dad, doing custom combining and baling for others as well as for themselves.

Preceding Charles in death were his parents.

Survivors include his sisters, Linda (Jim) Leonard of Kansas City and Trish (Mike) Schieber of Hamilton; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces who loved him dearly.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Hamilton United Methodist Church Sanctuary in Hamilton. A visitation was held prior to the service. Inurnment was in Highland Cemetery in Hamilton.
