Clay Dean Clevenger
Clay Dean Clevenger, age 76, a resident of Braymer, MO, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.
Clay Dean was born the son of Clay and Nina Dora (Fields) Clevenger on Oct. 12, 1939, in Braymer. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Sue Basham on Jan. 24, 1960, in Laclede. She survives of the home.
Clay Dean was a member of the Braymer Baptist Church in Braymer. He was an avid gun collector and member of the NRA. He enjoyed shooting guns, especially with the grandchildren. Trucking was his livelihood and passion. Clay Dean always had a story to tell and always looked forward to two o’clock coffee at the Busy Bee.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Clay Clevenger (Suzann) of Braymer; two daughters, Tomme Sue Feil of Braymer and Dedra Lee Smith (Tom) of Braymer; 13 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, with one on the way; one sister, Regena Curnow (Norman) of Breckenridge; and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Loretta Nelson.
Funeral services will be held at the Braymer Baptist Church in Braymer, on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Braymer Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov. 7, one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer on Friday, Nov. 6, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer.
