Donald "Donnie" Eugene Cox

Donald "Donnie" Eugene Cox age 91, of Hamilton passed away on Nov. 20, 2023, at his residence.  

Donnie was born on Aug. 2, 1932, in Caldwell County, MO., at home to Ernest and Edna (Varner) Cox.  He graduated from the Penney High School in 1951.  He served his country honorably when he was drafted into the Army and served in 1952 and 1953, serving part of that time in Germany.  

Donnie worked on cattle ranches in Texas and Sedalia before working with the maintainer and operating the road grader for the Hamilton Township for many years.  He was working until just a couple of years ago.  Donnie was also a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters-Mary Louise and Lyle Smith and Shirley Butcher, and sister-in-law-JoAnn Cox.

Survivors include his brother-Bob Cox, Overland Park, KS.; brother-in-law-Bob Butcher, Warsaw; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton.

Interment will be located at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, MO.
