Donna M. (Gilbert) Cummings
Donna Merle (Gilbert) Cummings, age 82, of Hamilton, MO, passed away at her home on Dec. 3, 2019. Donna was born on Sept. 20, 1937, in Caldwell County to Carl F. and Pauline (James) Gilbert. She lived in Caldwell County most of her life.
Donna graduated from the New York High School in 1955. She worked as a homemaker, sold real estate for Quality One Real Estate and Thornton Real Estate in Hamilton, and for Re-Max in Excelsior Springs.
She was baptized at the Church of Christ in Braymer. She loved fishing, gardening, crochet, canning her garden produce, picking berries, socializing, spending time with family, and cooking. She was also excellent at hanging wallpaper.
On July 17, 1955, she married Kenneth W. Cummings in Hamilton. He preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2002. On June 5, 2006, she married Paul Hansen, Sr., in Troy, KS, and he passed away on March 24, 2013.
Donna was also preceded by her parents and her sister, Carline Leeper.
Survivors include her children, Jackie (John) McGee, Rick (Mickie) Cummings, Kent (Cindy) Cummings, and Julie (Todd) Evans, all of Hamilton; 12 grandchildren, Chad and Coby McGee, Jenna Aubert, Brandy McNamara, Jessica Johnson, Chance Cummings, Steven Anderson, Chelsi Burnett, Tyler Anderson, Brandon Cummings, and Justin and Trevor Evans; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 6, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cameron Comfort Care Hospice in Cameron.
