Ed Heinold

Ed Heinold, age 72, of Polo, MO, passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 2, 2019, at North Kansas City Hospital. Ed was born on Jan. 22, 1947, the son of Louis and Mildred (Andress) Heinold in Weaubleau. He was a 1965 graduate of Weaubleau High School.

Ed worked for Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, before retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of the UAW Local #249. Ed was also a self-employed carpenter and he was excellent at it. On August 31, 1981, he was united in marriage to Cindy Jones at Bethel Christian Union Church in Polo. Ed was kindhearted and was always willing to help when asked. He was a good friend. Ed loved his daughters and his entire family. He enjoyed going to auctions. Ed will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Heinold was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Connie Poe. 

Survivors include his wife, Cindy of the home; three daughters, Melinda (Rick) Piper of Sheldon; Lori (Randy) Leedy and Melissa Stephens, all of Eldorado Springs; four brothers, Ronald (Reta) Heinold of Liberty, Daryl (Gail) Heinold of Dubuque, IA, Merlin (Pam) Heinold of Crane, and John (Andrea) Heinold of Apache, OK; three sisters, Julia Colby of Bellevue, NE, Jana Stewart of Joplin, and Jolynn (Gordon) Rhodes of Wentworth; brother-in-law, James (Shirley) Poe; grandchildren, Brittany (Patrick) Figaro of Richwood, TX; Mitchell (Kourtney) Topping of Springhill, TX; Cydnee (Clay) Regers of Butler; and Bethany (Brandon) Walker, Michaela (Kyle) Robertson, Marissa Stephens, and Jimmy Stephens, all of Eldorado Springs; great-grandchildren, Konner, Brylee, Alexandria, Olivia, and Eleanor; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.  

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, at Stith Family Funeral Home in Polo. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the day prior. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Bethel Cemetery south of Polo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation in memory of Ed, and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, P. O. Box 56, Polo, MO 64671.
