Emma Pearl Green

Emma Pearl Green, age 87, of Hamilton, MO, passed away on Nov. 25, 2020, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Hamilton. She lived in Kansas City for a number of years before moving to Excelsior Springs in 1993. 

Emma was born on Nov. 11, 1933, in Caldwell County, to Doctor Hugh (Sweet) and Coleta F. (Crist) Blackburn. She attended business school and worked as a secretary for 35 years at Victor L. Phillips in Kansas City. 

Emma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Green; son, Robert Allen Jones; and grandson, Kevin Christopher Shane.

Survivors include her son, Mickey Jones of Polo; sister, Patricia Kipp of Kingston; brothers, John Richard Blackburn of Excelsior Springs and Kenneth Blackburn of Springfield; granddaughter, Mickie Michelle Pheiffer of Polo; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from noon until 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
