Forestina May Clary

Forestina May Clary, age 88, a resident of Hamilton, MO, passed away on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

Forestina was born the daughter of Clyde F. and Edith A. (Groves) Rogers on Oct. 3, 1931, in Kansas City. She was a 1949 graduate of Central High School in Kansas City. She was united in marriage to James “Dick” Clary on Feb. 3, 1951, in Kansas City. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 2000. Forestina worked for the IRS, Macy’s, and for King Louie International. She also worked as a telemarketer for several years. She was a member of the Grace and Glory Tabernacle Church in Kansas City. Forestina enjoyed crocheting Afghans for her grandchildren.

Forestina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick; one daughter, Christina Burnett; stepmother, Selma Rogers; three brothers, John, Tim, and Bob Rogers; and one sister, Esther Manning.

Survivors include one daughter, Dixie Hale of Green Ridge; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; one sister, Ann Lawrence of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Fellowship Worship Center in Cameron on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the center on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer on Monday, Oct. 14, from noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at Cottage Grove Cemetery in Cowgill. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cottage Grove Cemetery, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
