Geraldine Henry

Geraldine Henry, age 94, of Hamilton, MO, passed on June 9, 2021, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Hamilton.

She previously lived in Hamilton, Galt, Malta Bend, and Hawthorn Woods, IL, before residing in Cameron the last several years.

Geraldine enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, plus quilting, embroidering, gardening and canning, baking (apple pies, apple dumplings, cinnamon rolls, German chocolate cakes, and cooking homemade noodles), cards, two-step dancing, bingo, and frequent trips to the casinos.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Janice Sue and Brenda Kay Adams; husband, Harold (Buster) Henry; and son, Gerald McBrayer.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty June (Jay) Adams of St. Joseph and Susie (Bob) Lund of Hamilton; two sons, Mack (Maggie) McBrayer of Cameron and Terry (Lisa) McBrayer of Rocheport; and daughter-in-law, Rhonda McBrayer-Welborn of Kingston.

Grandchildren: Kevin (Stacy) Adams and Kelly (Jody) Watkins, both of St. Joseph; Brian McBrayer of Pensacola, FL; Darren (Ashley) McBrayer of Peculiar; Erin (Jason) Bane and Christian Ogi, both of Kansas City; Dr. Scott McBrayer of Grand Junction, CO; Crystal McBrayer of Kingston; Angie (Ed) Miller, Tia (Jim) Schmitt, and Keely (Travis) Say, all of Manhattan, KS; Jessie (Preston) Pond of Layton, UT; Col Brandon (Jennifer) McBrayer of Yokota AFB, Japan; Kody (Jessica) McBrayer of Washington, MO; and Alexandra McBrayer of Grand Prairie, TX. 

Great-grandchildren: Sarah Adams of Blue Springs; Meg Adams of Brooklyn, NY; Rain Adams of Overland Park, KS; Ryan Adams of St. Joseph; Erika Sanjunn of Easton; Krizta Dixon of Germany; Brooke Watkins of St. Joseph; Alex McBrayer of Raytown; Caleb Standridge of Olathe, KS; Maddox, Sailor and Everleigh Bane of Kansas City; Peyton Henderson of Hamilton; Blake Schaeffer of Kingston; Mason Miller, Makenzie Woods, Cole Schmitt, Xander, Roe, Jude and Kingston Say, all of Manhattan, KS; Henry, James and Stella Pond of Layton, UT; Kaci and Taryn McBrayer of Yokota AFB, Japan; Owen and Parker McBrayer, of Washington, MO; 

Great-great-grandchildren: Alex Wilson, Edward and Alijah Sanjunn of Easton. 

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. Memorials may be made to the Missouri Quilt Museum in Hamilton for bench, rocker and quilt displays of Geraldine's in care of Bram Funeral Home, 208 E. School St., Hamilton, MO 64644. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Highland Cemetery in Hamilton.
