Glenn LeRoy Burnett

Glenn “LeRoy” Burnett, age 76, died May 22, 2016, at K.U. Medical Center. He was born on May 16, 1940, in Kingston, to Glenn Eddie and Ruth (McKee) Burnett.

LeRoy was a member of the Mirabile Community Church and was a veteran. He married Martha Kearns in 1998. He was self-employed and also retired from TWA and American Airlines in 2005.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, April Yusuf.

Survivors include his wife, Martha, of the home; one son, Shawn Burnett (Jennifer) of Kingston; two step-daughters, Debra Willimetz of Excelsior Springs and Sandra Eaton (Jim) of Independence; son-in-law, Andre’ Yusuf of Shawnee Mission, KS; brother Ernie Burnett (Sue) of Hamilton; sister, Louise Ross (Gary) of Clarksdale; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 27, 2016, at the Mirabile Community Church in Mirabile following a visitation. Burial was at Mirabile Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Mirabile Community Church, Mirabile Ladies Aid or the Caldwell County Foundation Cancer Assistance Fund. Online condolences may be left at www.bramfuneralservices.com.
