Harold “Bud” A. Bowen

Harold "Bud" Aldine Bowen, age 77, of Hamilton, MO, passed away on May 20, 2021, at the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City. He lived in Caldwell County most of his life.

Bud was born on Nov. 9, 1943, in Hamilton, to Merlin and Kathleen (Wedlock) Bowen.  He attended Penney High School. He was employed at the Green Hills Telephone Company in Breckenridge for over 30 years.  

Bud was a past member and president of the Hamilton Jaycees, the RLDS Church, and especially loved riding, training and feeding his horses. He was a jack-of-all-trades, especially when it came to being handy with plumbing, wiring, etc....  He greatly enjoyed being with and around his family.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his children, Kathy Bowen of Independence, Buddy (Shalaine) Bowen of Kearney, and Travis (Julie) Bowen of Mankato, MN; special friend, Joyce Williams of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Thomas and Matthew (Tessia) Cole, and Rachel, Oscar, and Eva Bowen; great-grandchild, Adele' Bowen; siblings, Karyn (Delbert) Lund of Jefferson City, David (Judy) Bowen, Bob (Wendy) Bowen, Bev (Mike) Kohler, and Cindy Baker, all of Hamilton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25, at the Hamilton United Methodist Church sanctuary. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 24, at the Hamilton United Methodist Church. Friends may call starting Monday, May 24, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. Memorials may be made to Highland Cemetery in Hamilton.
