Joseph W. Simmons

Joseph Walter Simmons, age 72, of Hamilton, passed away on Dec. 13, 2018.

Joseph was born on Feb. 2, 1946, in Marshall, to Henry Theodore and Rosa Elizabeth (Lawson) Simmons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jan; and daughter, Theresa “T.K.” King.

Survivors include five daughters, Julie (Robb) Copple of Hamilton, Beth (Gary) Britton of Fordland; Boots (Jim) Carty of Burlington Junction; Billie Jo (Dustin) Herrington of New London; and Bobbiejo (Matt) Cook of Hamilton; two brothers, Sam Simmons of Turney and Bill Simmons of Burlington Junction; 18 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

Visitation and sharing will be held from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home in Cameron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Poland-Thompson Funeral Home for expenses. Online condolences may be left at www.polandthompson.com.
