Josephine "Rosie" R. Puckett
Josephine R. "Rosie" Puckett, age 98, of Excelsior Springs, MO, formerly of Lawson and Hamilton, passed away on Dec. 31, 2021, at the Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab Center in Excelsior Springs.
Rosie was born on June 2, 1923, in Hamilton to Jesse and Maude (Hopper) Cox. She was a homemaker, farm wife, and mother.
She married Robert Ray Puckett on Dec. 16, 1944, in Kansas City, KS. He preceded her in death along with her parents; four brothers, Henry, Lantie, Ralph and J.O. Cox; two sisters, Ellen and Vernie; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Rosemary Nedblake.
Survivors include her children, daughter, Marty (Martha) Nedblake (Ron) of Excelsior Springs; son, Bobby Puckett; grandchildren, Erik (Kris) Nedblake of Excelsior Springs, Alec (Christy) Nedblake of North Bend, WA, Chad (Meleah) Puckett of Red Oak, TX, and Tiffany Puckett of Garland, TX; great-grandchildren, Olivia Rose and Travis Ray Puckett, both of Red Oak, TX, Ryan, Grace and Noah Nedblake, all of Excelsior Springs, and Leia, Gillian, and Kyle Nedblake, all of North Bend, WA; and sister, Violet Bortz of Kimberly, ID.
A private family graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association in Rosie's memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton.
