Luchen "Gretchen" Ann Reith

Luchen "Gretchen" Ann Reith, age 83, of Hamilton, MO, passed away at her home on Jan. 15, 2021. Gretchen grew up in Sedalia and lived in Mission, KS, before moving to Hamilton almost 30 years ago.

Gretchen was born on Nov. 10, 1937, in Kansas City, to Henri F. and Lucille (Loveland) Mos. She graduated from the Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia in 1955. She worked as a secretary for electrical contractor Southside Electric and then Evans Electric in Kansas City, and also worked for National Car Rental. She was a homemaker as well.

She was raised in the Presbyterian Church and was famous locally for her peanut brittle.

Gretchen married Dr. Alvin P. Reith in 1987 in Cameron. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was also preceded by her parents, and her first husband, William Mills.

She is survives by her brother, Henri (Cynthia) Mos of Edwards, MO.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton.
