Mary Jayne Pelton

Mary Jayne Pelton, age 80, of Hamilton, MO, passed away on March 13, 2021, at the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Hamilton. She was born in the New York Township of Caldwell County, on July 23, 1940, to Edward L. and Dorothy O. (Basham) Stone, and lived in the county all of her life.

Mary attended elementary school at the New York School, SE of Hamilton, and then attended and graduated from Breckenridge High School. She owned Skywire Kennels in Hamilton since 1989, and also worked as a receptionist and bookkeeper for Harmon Glass in Cameron for over 20 years. 

She was baptized in the Church of Christ and in the past attended the Hamilton Federated Church. Mary married Bill Rauber on July 18, 1959, and to this union one son was born. She married Jim Pelton on November 30, 1979. 

She was preceded in death by both of her husbands; her parents; two brothers, Johnny and Jimmy Stone; and a grandson.

Survivors include her son, Eddie Rauber of Kidder; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one soon-to-be great-great-grandchild; three nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A family graveside inurnment service will be held at a later date at the Highland Cemetery in Hamilton.
