Maurine Jackson formerly of Polo passes away

Maurine Jackson, age 101, of Trenton, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at a nursing facility in Trenton.

She was born Aug. 2, 1913, to John Olen and Ernie Jackson in Cowgill.

Maurine married Roy Jackson in March 1936. He passed away in Aug. 1960.

She was a bookkeeper and manager of Polo Housing.

Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Polo Baptist Church and said she was blessed to be a part of a loving, caring family.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Lee Roy Jackson; parents; brothers, J.D., Dean, Paul, Donald, Jerry, and Alan Jackson; and her sister Helen Jackson.

Survivors include her sisters, Ethel Mae Bretz and Mary Freeman; sisters-in-law, Emogene, Sandy, and Jodon Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews, great and great great-nieces and nephews; and cousins.

A farewell service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Polo Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Cowgill Cemetery.
