Max Creason

Max Creason, age 83, of Polo, MO, passed away Sept. 4, 2017, at his home.

Max was born on Nov. 26, 1933, in Clinton County, to David and Myrtle (Smoot) Creason. He lived in the Polo area almost all of his life and graduated from the Polo High School in 1951. He had worked as a livestock farmer.

Max was active in numerous livestock associations and events, and had been active in 4-H and FFA youth activities as well as being a faithful sports fan attending numerous Polo basketball and football games.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Max married Mary Mayes on Jan. 2, 1954, in Polo. They celebrated 63 years together and she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include his children, Jerry Creason of Cowgill, Darel Creason of Livingston, MT, and Shelta Creason and Denise Owens, both of Polo; sisters, Georgia Creason of Polo and Ester Coffman of Longmont, CO; five grandchildren; one step granddaughter; and two step great-grandchildren.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Prairie Ridge Cemetery in Polo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Liberty Hospital Hospice or the Caldwell County Fair.
