MILTON “NORMAN” CLEVENGER

Milton “Norman” Clevenger, 93 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer, MO.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with a graveside service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer, MO.  The family will greet friends from 9:00 am until service time Friday at the chapel.  Norman was born December 14, 1930 in Caldwell, MO to Milton and Alta Fern (Hall) Clevenger and grew up in Braymer graduating from Braymer High School in 1948 and had attended Mid-American Nazarene College.  He worked most of his life as a custodian in various hospitals in New Mexico and locally for GEHA and Luby’s Cafeteria.  He proudly served in the US Army from 1952-54 and in the US Air Force from 1955-60.  He was a religious man who enjoyed spreading God’s word and had handed out Bible tracts and Bibles in several different locations.  He enjoyed picking up trash and keeping area’s clean. He is survived by, 2 sisters, Peggy Ann Siebert of Lee’s Summit, MO and Donna Faye Axsom and husband Dean of Independence, MO.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Sue Pollard in 2012.
