Norma Joyce Linville

Norma Joyce Linville, age 74, of Norborne, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Norma was born on Dec. 6, 1946, in Kansas City, the daughter of Cecil Hyram and Lillian Margaret (Hall) Lowther. She graduated from Ruskin High School in 1964 and Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg in 1968, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree.

On Sept. 3, 1966, she married Charles Larry Rae Linville of Norborne. After marriage, Norma moved to the farm in Stet, where she joined the local women’s sorority and taught Physical Education in the Richmond School District. She was a 4-H Club leader, coached her kids’ softball teams, and prepared them to show cattle at the county fairs. She also worked as a Special Education teacher’s aide at Stet High School, and worked at Carroll County Feed & Supply.

Norma is survived by her children, David Wayne Linville of Lawrence, KS, Lora Lea Hughes of Carrollton, Angela Kay Caviar of Overland Park, KS, and Cody Glen Linville of Norborne; one sister, Gloria Jean Durham of Pleasant Hill; and seven grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Lillian Lowther, and her husband, Larry Linville.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Bittiker Funeral Home, 1201 North 65 Highway, Carrollton, MO, with Pastor Robert Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery in Norborne. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and may be left at or mailed to Bittiker Funeral Home, P.O.
