Ruby Lee Neva Holder

Ruby Lee Neva Holder, age 91, a resident of Lenexa, KS, passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at her residence. Ruby was born the daughter of Claude Franklin (Frank) and Neva Pearl (Bisel) McBee on May 11, 1925, in Braymer.

Ruby was a 1943 graduate of Braymer High School. She was united in marriage to Oral Eugene Holder on March 27, 1942, in Kingston. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1997. Ruby served as a Cub Scout Den Mother. She was a member of the Lenexa Firefighters Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Gene Holder (Mary Jo) of Climax Springs and Bobby Lee Holder of Lenexa, KS; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Levere “Buck” McBee (Mary) of Braymer; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oral; one daughter-in-law, Melody Holder; one brother, Arthur McBee; and three sisters, Grace Hays, Betty Vaughn, and Rachel Hughes.

Funeral services will be held at the Braymer Christian Church in Braymer on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer on Friday, March 3 from noon until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer. Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
