Terry C. Alden

Terry Charles Alden, age 72, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away on Aug. 9, 2019. Terry was born on Jan. 2, 1947, in Lawrence, KS. He was a 1965 graduate of Penney High School in Hamilton. Terry was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in South East Asia.

Terry worked as a computer programmer for the Internal Revenue Service before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Max and Ruth (Ott) Alden; first wife, Carol Alden; and a daughter, Micah Alden.

On March 17, 2000, Terry married Joyce French. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include four daughters, Melissa Alden, Tiffany Alden, Amy Post and Angela Riche; two sons, Shane Alden and Shawn (Leah) Alden; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Diane Philippi; brother, Greg (Donna) Alden; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home in Cameron. A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Cameron Memory Gardens in Cameron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Poland-Thompson Funeral Home to cover expenses.
