Troy Allen Blackburn

Troy Allen Blackburn, age 48, of Jameson, MO, passed away on Nov. 19, 2016, in Trenton. He lived in Jameson for the past 13 years and previously lived in Hamilton.

Troy was born on Nov. 3, 1968, in Chillicothe, to Clyde and Carolyn (Filley) Blackburn, Jr. He was a 1987 graduate of the Penney High School, Hamilton, and attended Vocational School. For the past four years, he worked as a skilled laborer for Landmark Manufacturing in Gallatin, and he previously worked construction.

Troy was a member of the Coffey Baptist Church and he and his daughter, Destiny, were baptized there together in 2013.

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Blackburn, Jr.; father-in-law, James Jones; infant brother, James Dean Blackburn; grandparents, Clyde and Maxine Blackburn, Sr. and Ralph and Mary Filley.

On May 9, 1992, he married Beth Jones at the Hamilton United Methodist Church. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include his daughter, Destiny Blackburn, of the home; mother, Carolyn (Bob) Henderson of Jameson; brother, Jeff (Greta) Blackburn of Cameron; in-laws, Randy and Sue Foster of Coffey; brother-in-law, Jim Jones of Nebraska; sister-in-law, Becki McGregor of Kansas City; grandmother-in-law, Reva Sowards of St. Joseph; nieces and nephews, Nick Blackburn of Colorado, Alyssa and Dylan McGregor of Kansas City, and Logan, Landon, Levi, and Addy Jones of Nebraska; and a great-nephew, Sullivan Blackburn of Colorado.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to an educational fund being established for Troy’s daughter, Destiny.
