Vivian Nadine Stone

Vivian Nadine Stone, age 99, a resident of Braymer, MO, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer.

Vivian was born the daughter of Charles Alfred and Rebecca Lorraine (Foley) Lane on Feb. 8, 1922, in Braymer. She was a 1940 graduate of Braymer High School. Vivian was united in marriage to Roy Stone on Sept. 3, 1941, in Ludlow. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1993. She worked for Stride Rite Shoe Factory for many years. Vivian was a member of the Church of Christ in Cowgill.

Survivors include three sons, Jim Stone (Joyce) of Cowgill, Larry Stone of Smithville, and Leon Stone (Karen) of Kearney; two daughters, Shirley Mallory (Gary) of Belton and Beverly Fields of Kansas City; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Roy.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ in Braymer on Saturday, May 29, at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home on Friday, May 28, from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer. Memorial contributions may be made to Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer, and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
