Wilma Darlene Lee

Wilma "Darlene" (Adams) Lee age 85, Hamilton, passed away at Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron, on Feb. 10, 2022. She lived in Hamilton since 1963, and previously lived in Mound City and Richmond.  

Darlene was born on July 7, 1936, in Rockville, to Bennie Clarence and Iva Beatrice (Richeson) Adams.  She graduated from the Rich Hill, high school.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, and she retired from the Lake City Ammunition Plant.  

She married John Lee in Hume, on June 7, 1956.  He preceded her in death on July 31, 1998.  They have two sons, Edward (Sheryl) Lee, and Richard (Shari) Lee, all of Hamilton.  Darlene married Charles Burgess of Bancroft, Ontario, Canada, on Feb. 14, 2005.  He preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 2021. 

She was also preceded by her parents; siblings-Edward, Herschel, Donald, Clarence, Wilbert, Kenneth, Bennie Jr., and Iva Lorene (Adams) Spillman, Dorothy (Adams) Steuck, Luella (Adams) Hirmi, and Mildred (Adams) Morgan.  

Survivors include her sons; grandchildren-Tracy Smith, Brian Smith, Angela Lee, all of Hamilton; Missy (Pete) Madison, Chillicothe; Mac (Kelsey) Lee, Hamilton; Sharmin (Everett) Parks, Lathrop; and Ashley (Robert) Ford, Hamilton;  fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton.

At Darlene's request, no services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Green Hills Women's Shelter.
