Bobcats and Panthers to State Track

The Class 1, Section 3 Track and Field Championship was held at Clinton High School on Saturday where the Braymer Bobcats (B) and Polo Panthers (P) participated with a chance to advance to the State Championships this weekend at Jefferson City. The Bobcats placed 4th and the Panthers 8th behind first place Hardin-Central. On the women's side, Braymer came in 6th and Polo 14th. Glasgow was the winner of the women's team event. Jordan Miller led Braymer with two first, one 4th, and one 5th place finish, and Mallory Hughson led the Lady Bobcats with a 1st, 3rd, and 4th place finish, plus another as a member of the 3rd place 4 x 400m relay. Polo's Parker Smith will be competing in four events at State due to his 3rd place finish in both the 200m and the 400m dash, and as a member of the 2nd place 4 x 200m and  4th place 4 x 400m relay teams. Following are those competitors who scored points for their respective teams at Sectionals, with the top 4 in each event heading to Jefferson City this weekend.
