Braymer Takes Two From Polo

The Polo Panthers and the Braymer Bobcats played a girls and a boys GRC basketball game this past week with the Bobcats coming out on top of both games.
In the girls contest, the Lady Bobcats out scored the Lady Panthers 11-4 in the first quarter, 16-9 in the second, 15-10 in the 3rd and came away with a 55-24 victory. Those who scored for Polo included Breezy Hutcheson 8, Jenni Farmer 6, Amanda Hilburn 6, Shelby Copeland 2, and Taylor Wagner 1.
The Panthers made 6 of 9 free throws. Braymer was led by Mallory Hughson with 20 including a 3-pointer, Brooklyn Moore's 10, Madison Mallory 8, Kelsey Stone 7, Katie Owen 6, Gabby Saul 3, and Tori Smith 1. The Lady Cats hit 20 of 32 free throws attempted.
The Braymer boys completed the Bobcat sweep with a 59-45 win over the Panthers.
Braymer led 18-7 after one, 36-23 at the half, and 50-31 at the end of the third. Polo's Parker Smith led all scorers with 26, including two 3-pointers. James Fleener was next for the Panthers with 7, followed by Brandon Hubbard with 5, Jesse Vaughan and Cole Bartlett with 4 each, and Jimmy Blystone with 1. Polo made 13 of 22 from the free throw line.
The Bobcats were led by Logan O'Dell with 23, Jordan Miller 18, Ryan Atherton 7, Gabe Rogers 4, Jacob Dudley 3, Robbie Shoe 2, and Keaton O'Dell 2. Logan O'Dell and Miller each hit three shots beyond the arc. Braymer made 9 of 13 free throws.
