Braymer win over South Nodaway

Tuesday evening the Bobcats played host to the Longhorns of South Nodaway.
Jordan Miller was the starting pitcher for the Bobcats. He opened the first inning by striking out the first two batters, then hit the third batter. He caught the next hit ball on the bounce and threw the batter out to end the inning. In the bottom half of the first Gabe Rogers hit a pop fly for an out. Keaton O'Dell hit to center field for 1 base and then stole second. Logan O'Dell then hit a single driving in Keaton, he then stole second. Jordan Miller hit a single driving in Logan. He then stole second. Drake Parker hit a single driving in Jordan. Robbie Shoe hit a single sending Drake to third. Clay McAtee struck out. Tanner O'Dell hit a ball to right field while Drake made it home. Robbie tried for home but was thrown out to end the inning.
The next three innings had no one getting a hit. In the top of the fifth the Longhorns scored a total of 3 runs, with 2 strike outs and the pitcher picked up a bunt and threw out the batter for the third out.
Gabe started the inning with a single and then stole second. Keaton hit a pop fly for an out. Logan hit a single bringing Gabe home from second. Jordan hit a pop fly for an out. Drake then hit a home run over the left field fence bringing Logan home. Robbie then hit a pop up to the short stop for the out.
In the sixth Jordan walked the first batter and struck out the next three batters. In the bottom half Clay walked and then Tanner hit into a double play and Derek McElwee struck out.
Seventh inning saw a pop up out to the short stop, a strike out, and a short stop to first for an out.
Game ended with Braymer winning 7 to 3. Jordan had a total of 14 strike outs.
The JV teams then played 3 innings. Keaton O'Dell pitched for the Bobcats and struck out 8 batters and the 7th out was a bunt to the pitcher with the throw in time to first. In the first inning Dylan McElwee was walked, then Kallen Wiedmier was walked. Both boys stole their next two bases which brought Dylan home. In the second inning two batters walked and one was hit by a pitch. One batter was caught off base, another struck out and the third hit to the short stop to be thrown out.
The Thursday game was canceled due to weather. The next game is in Macon on Wednesday.
