Hornet Golf Team to State

Coach Adam Summers and his Penney High Hornet golf team is headed to State after placing second behind Gallatin in the Class 1, Section 4 Tournament on Monday, May 9th, at the Mazingo Golf course near Maryville. Hamilton's Ethan Green shot a 4 over par round and tied for 2nd place as an individual. He scored especially well on the back 9 where he shot a 36, and birdied 3 of the 4 par fives on the day. Wyatt Gregory also had a very good day, shooting a 37 on the front 9 where he made  an eagle and a birdie on the two par fives, and finished his round tied for 4th at 7 over par. Caden Brown placed 19th with a 25 over par round, and Quinn Brown tied for 24th with a 28 over par. Although they did not use his score in the team event, Nick Hartley tied for 40th and will be headed to State as well.
