Hornets Sting North Platte Panthers

The Penney High Hornets followed an exciting overtime win at Chillicothe on Thursday with a convincing KCI victory at Dearborn on Friday.

The "Penney Press" created a number of turnovers by North Platte which resulted in some easy buckets for Hamilton. The Hornets led 14-6 after the first quarter and extended their lead to 40-22 at the half. Coach Ross's team continued to dominate in the 3rd by out scoring the Panthers 20-11 on their way to a 66-42 win. Hamilton's record improves to 11-2, and 3-0 in the KCI.

Korby Ford led the Hornets with 18 points, including four three pointers. Telly Harper scored 14, Latroy Harper 11, Jaran Richman 8, Mason McFall 7, Andy Ernat, Derek Dixon, Drake Brown, and Reed Henderson each with 2. Wesley Pratt and Garrison Dunham also received playing time. Penney hit 10 of 15 free throws to North Platte's 2 for 5.
