Lady Cats defeat Tina-Avalon Dragons

The Lady Cats hosted the Tina Avalon Lady Dragons to open the 2015-16 basketball season. 

The Lady Cats got off to a slow start scoring only 9 points to the Lady Dragons 13.  Second quarter saw an improvement in both buckets and defense with the Lady Cats taking a 23 to 16 lead into the locker room at half.  Third quarter had the Lady Cats outscoring the Lady Dragons 16 to 10.  Fourth quarter the Lady Dragons put on a come back scoring 14 points to the Lady Cats 9 but it wasn't enough.  The Lady Cats won 48 to 40. 

Hi point for Braymer was Mallory Hughson with 20 points, Madison Mallory had 17, Katie Owens 7 and Kelsey Stone round out the scoring with 4.  Katie Owen had 11 rebounds and 1 steal, Brooklyn Moore had 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocked passes, Mallory Hughson had 5 rebounds and 4 steals, Madison Mallory had 3 rebounds and 3 steals, and Kelsey  Stone had 2 rebounds and 1 blocked pass.  Leading scorer for the Lady Dragons was Jadyn Lucas with 15.
