Lady Panthers Drop Road Game at Winston

The Polo Lady Panthers traveled to Winston  last week to play the Lady Redbirds.
 
The first quarter ended in an 8-8 tie. Winston took a 22-18 lead to the locker room before out scoring the Lady Panthers 16-8 in the 3rd quarter and going on to win the contest 49-33. Jenni Farmer, a junior and Osborn All-Tournament selection, led Polo with 10 points, 6 in the 2nd quarter. Another Osborn All-Tournament member, sophomore Breezy Hutcheson, was next with 6 points, including 2 for 2 from the free throw line. Shelby Copeland and Amanda Hilburn each made 5 points, Taylor Wagoner hit a 3-pointer, while Teagan Logan and Sondra Sumpter both scored 2. Billie Thompson, Emma Howard, Hannah Curp, Sierra Dye, Nicole Joy, Jorgia Cory, and Autumn Burton all saw playing time.
 
The Redbirds were led by Carly Gordon who had 12. Winston made 9 of 14 from the free throw line compared to 4 of 12 for the Lady Panthers.
