MSHSAA Releases Football & Basketball Assignments

The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) has released the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 football and basketball assignments.

Braymer will compete in District 3 of the 8 Man Football Class against King City, North Shelby, Pattonsburg, Southwest (Livingston County), and Stewartsville. The MSHSAA Board is evaluating the proposals from Cameron and Chillicothe to determine where the 8 Man Championship will be played. Penney and Polo will remain in Class 1, and compete against Gallatin, Maysville, Milan, Princeton, Putnam County, and South Harrison in District 8.

The Show-Me Bowl for Classes 1 through 6 will be held in Springfield at Plaster Stadium on the campus of Missouri State University in 2016. In 2017, the Championship games will be located at the University of Missouri in Columbia on Faurot Field. Basketball's Show-Me Showdown will be played in Springfield under a 5 year agreement, beginning in the 2017-2018 school year. On Thursday, Classes 1, 2, and 3 will tip off at the Hammons Student Center.

The JQH Arena will host all other games for all Classes. Braymer and Breckenridge will face off against Hardin-Central, Orrick, Southwest (Livingston County), Tri-County, Wentworth Military Academy, and Winston in District 13 of Class 1. Polo will again play in Class 2 and compete in District 16 against Gallatin, Maysville, Mid-Buchanan, Plattsburg, Princeton, Stanberry, and Tarkio. Penney will jump up to Class 3 and participate in District 16 against Bishop LeBlond, Brookfield, East Buchanan, Lathrop, Maryville, South Harrison, and Trenton.
