SWINDLER SETS KCI TRIPLE JUMP RECORD

The KCI Conference Championship Track and Field Meet was held this past Saturday at Lathrop where the Hamilton Hornets placed 2nd behind the host team Mules.

The Lawson Lady Cardinals claimed the Conference team title on the women's side where the short handed Lady Hornets placed 8th. The Penney High men claimed 8 first place finishes, including a new KCI Conference triple jump record of 44'-04.00" by Brock Swindler. Swindler also won the long jump, the 300m hurdles, and was a member of the first place 4 x 400m relay. Not to be out done, Hamilton's Derek Dixon also claimed the top prize in winning the 400m dash, the 800m run, and anchored the champion 4 x 800m relay and the 4 x 400m relay. Latroy Harper continued to impress by winning the high jump and placing in the long jump. 

The Penney High women were missing the services of Jessica Noble, one of the top runners in the Conference. Following are those competitors from Hamilton High School who scored points for their respective teams.
